Regularly I receive the question from other users how I create those custom made frontpages for Joomla, while they are still stuck with the default frontpage Joomla is providing. In a former post I already explained how to completely hide the blog frontpage with articles by making a change in your Joomla template.

I ran into this situation a few days ago, working for Curves, the largest fitness franchise in the world. An online and offline marketing campaign was created, with printed flyers holding the url of several new landing pages. But what we didn't notice is that the urls were written with a capital in it. And at the point where I mentioned 'Oh, I'm not sure if it will work this way', my collegues started to get a bit nervous.

Most Joomla templates show the Joomla Frontpage (the content area) on the first page of your website. However, sometimes you just want a mixup of several modules, without articles to be published directly on your first page.

Lots of the early webshop adapters have invested in their systems several years ago. Often they reached good to excellent results. But will it stay it that way? Of course not. The world is changing as we speak, ehh.. write, so also the webshop keeper must stay focussed and contantly improve the website itself and the content that it is delivering. So, as in the 'old economy', first analyze if there's room for improvement in the market you're active in. If you would realize a, let's say, 3% revenue growth, would that mean a difference? Would you be able to spend money on reaching such a target? If the answer is yes, then please read on. If the answer is no, then I advice you to rethink your market strategy first. :)
